Holiday compensation, on the other hand, refers to additional pay or benefits that an employee may receive for working on a holiday, such as premium pay rates or extra time off. **

The second Christmas holiday, also known as Boxing Day, is a public holiday in many countries because it has historical and cultural significance. It originated in the United Kingdom and is now observed in various countries that were once part of the British Empire. The holiday is traditionally associated with giving gifts to service workers, such as postal workers and tradespeople, as a way of showing appreciation for their hard work throughout the year. Over time, it has become a day for spending time with family, enjoying festive activities, and participating in sales and shopping events. As a result of its cultural importance and widespread observance, many countries have designated Boxing Day as a public holiday. **
